East Oxford Community Choir is a small, friendly choir of singers of all standards. We meet weekly to rehearse works as diverse as Vivaldi's Magnificat, the Argentinian folk drama Navidad Nuestra, Poulenc’s Gloria and Mendelssohn’s Paulus.

We have a successful link with Vocal Ensemble Interlude from Grenoble and visit Grenoble most years for our spring concert.

Our Christmas concert with other local musicians has become a popular tradition in East Oxford.

We love a challenge: we’ve collaborated with Oxford Youth Dance and with Opera Anywhere and we’ve joined singers, dancers and players from Oxford's twin cities to perform Bernstein's Mass, Orff's Carmina Burana and Bizet's Carmen.

We rehearse 12.00-1.30 on Sundays at St Alban's church hall, Charles Street, Oxford OX4 3AH. Our termly charge to cover the cost of music is usually about £40. Not all our members read music and we don’t have auditions. If you want to join us, just get in touch via the contact link above.

We are happy to hire scores to others at very reasonable rates. Click on the library link above.
